Youth Hub Africa (YHA), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), is set to kick-off a four-week virtual course on community-based social activism.

The course, inspired by the October 2020 nationwide #EndSARS protests, will begin on April 11 with the goal of educating individuals and communities on how to engage in social activism for change.

It will feature courses on governance and citizenship, activating social changes, organising for reforms, and basic digital tools for social activism.

Some of the confirmed facilitators include Sola Fagorusi, executive director and team lead at Onelife Initiative for Human Development; and Rotimi Olawale, co-founder and Executive Director of YouthHubAfrica; Nelson Olanipekun, Founder and Executive Director, Citizens Gavel; Faruk Ibrahim, Programs Manager at YIAGA Africa; and Maltibweh Danjuma, a  communications consultant.

Of the 803 applicants who registered, YHA selected 100 to participate in the training. The Participants were selected from all parts of the federation with a special focus on Bauchi, Ebonyi, Oyo States and The Federal Capital Territory.

These 100 would be given e-certificates of participation at the end of the course and data stipends.
