The Year Of The Digital Amazons

We are proud to announce that Street Project Foundation in collaboration with the association of advertising Agencies of Nigeria’s (AAAN) committee of women in advertising (WIA) and with support of the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) and Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) is set to strengthen the capacity of 200 female creatives in Lagos State through our Digital Amazons program in 2022.

Digital Amazons is a specialized capacity building program for young women aged 18 - 25 years old, gifted in different areas of the Creative Arts. It is a cohort based training workshop in Graphics Design, Photography, Animation, Videography, Digital Marketing, Storytelling, Creative Writing, Project Management and Enterprise Development. The courses are  facilitated by  industry experts.

So far, we’ve graduated the first cohort of 25 young women in 2022; who for six weeks, were exposed to a variety of digital skills and about 70% of this number have been placed on internships. Currently, the second cohort is running and it’s been amazing. They will be graduating soon and we can not wait to share that detail with you.
