Sensitization Workshop For NURTW Imo State

On March 29, 2022 YSAD and partners organized a sensitization workshop for National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW Imo state as part of the ongoing campaign to enlighten citizens of the menace of extortion of motorists by law enforcement agencies and the roles citizens are expected to play towards addressing the issue. In attendance were: the representative of the Commissioner of Police, Imo State; representative of the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Imo state; Imo State Director of National Orientation Agency, NOA; Imo state Coordinator of National Human Rights Commission; representative of Imo State Commander, NDLEA; and the representative of Imo State Commander, FRSC. Before the workshop on the same day, Team YSAD with some of the stakeholders, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri to seek the collaboration of the university community in the campaign against extortion of motorists in the country.
