Know Your Rights To Fight Police Brutality
The Foundation for Societal Empowerment and Rejuvenation (FOSER) is implementing the "Know Your Rights To Fight Police Brutality" Project in Bauchi City, Bauchi State. The aim of the project is to reduce incidences of police/citizen conflict by at least 20% within a year via educating the citizens on their constitutional rights as opposed to confronting the security agents. The idea is if citizens know their rights then they shall be better equipped to avoid conflict. So far, FOSER and its project partners KLI & ILPCPN have conducted an enumeration exercise and registered 481 participants from Bauchi City and plan to stage a peaceful rally to raise awareness.Reactions
