Can art be a tool for influencing voting culture for better governance among youth? Gift Chikere (aka TheGift), a creative artiste and alumnus of the Street Project Foundation, is exploring poetry, music, and writing to inspire young Nigerians to participate actively in governance.
As a youth activist, Gift understands that her voice alone is not enough to inspire the change she hopes to see. So decides to build her leadership skill and inspire fifteen other young creative artists to speak out louder for all Nigerian youth to hear and take action. As a music producer, Gift understands the power of collective voice, and the Speak Up Stand Out program gave her the leverage to make her dream come true.
After months of hardwork, writing, rehearsing, editing, and refining their creative works, Gift has built the confidence of fifteen young artists to use their creative talent to speak up about the Nigeria they want and how we can get there. Here are a few of them (Watch this space as we upload more videos soon)
